Building - Creating Structures Through a Construction Process

There are a lot of definitions of the word "building".

In this discussion I'm using the definition of constructing structures. The structures we're building can be a building (another definition of building), which in my mind is a structure that houses, or is occupied by, people. A building structure doesn't have to be human occupied.

When contractors build a structure, it can also be things like warehouses, refineries, piers, highways, and other infrastructure.

Construction Contractors Build Stuff

As further clarification, this requires a construction process with, by my definition, requires contractors. Contractors are the heart of building or creating things, i.e. structures.

Because contractors are involved, all the the things contractors do both in the field and in the office are involved in the process. Looking at the office side of things, we have accounting, payroll, accounts payable, estimating and job cost.

For purposes of this section of the web site I'm mostly concerned with the estimating and construction software side of the business.
